About Us
My name is Elize Grobler and I love Labrador Retrievers, which I breed on my Plot situated in the outskirts of Randfontein. I started in 2008 as breeder with my first yellow Labrador Retriever called Jessica. It was an interesting start after which these adorable four-legged-children became part of my heart and home.
As breeder I do the following necessary health tests to ensure that quality puppies are bred:
Hip / Elbow Dysplasia – According to the guidelines of the Federation Cynologique International and the International Elbow Working Group.
SAVA Eye Test – Johannesburg Animal Eye Hospital
CSD (Copper Storage Disease – ATP7B)
PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy)
EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse)
For the past 3 years I have been using Stud Males from Chezenko, many thanks to Vicki Reid for her guidance.
Stud males
Currently I have Harvey, a chocolate labrador male. Harvey is a perfect male, Hip / Elbow A2A2 00, SAVA Eye test, CSD Clear, PRA Clear, EIC Clear.
Females
At Aboheme – I have Chocolate, Yellow and Black females.
All the necessary health tests are done and the females are 18 months old before any breeding.
Puppies
All our puppies are bred with careful planning to ensure healthy bloodlines. Once a litter puppies are born, special precautions are taken to ensure they are safe, kept warm and receive lots of love, preventative treatment against tics and fleas.
Not only does Aboheme aim to breed pure and healthy bloodlines, we love to see that the puppies end up in loving and caring homes.
